American Bulldog History

             The true history of the American Bulldog is so convoluted, it is impossible to summarize it in a few paragraphs or pages.  We believe “The Devil is in the Details”, and the details of every strain are different.  The American Bulldog is not a breed in the conventional sense.  There-in lies  its strength, beauty, and mystique.  The American Bulldog is the “Wild West” of the dog  world.  Its true history is raw and rough, like the dogs themselves.  Any polished homogenized history is a disservice to the dogs, and you won’t find it here.
